Deb would like all of you to meet Callie!  Callie is a 15 month old Borde Collie/Australian Shepherd (i.e. Baussie Collie) mix who lives in Arizona, USA.

Hi folks! My name is Callie or Calamity Jane for short.

How old is Callie?
I am a 15 month old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix.  But, my mom calls me a Baussie Collie!

How did Callie become part of your family?
I was bought by my folks from people who raise mixes like mine in the White Mountains of Arizona, and I took my first car ride when I was only 8 weeks old. Wow! I didn’t think that car ride would EVER end! My folks got me to be a companion to my nine-year-old collie brother when his big sister passed away. Boy was I ever a lucky little dog!

 

border colliesWhat else do you want people to know about your border collie?
I sure like living in Phoenix where I have a HUGE backyard to run and chase bunnies in, and a big pool where I can swim and stay cool. I have passed all of my Petsmart training classes, and my folks want to train me to do agility, but I have a little problem. My knee caps slip, so I can’t do all the things lots of other Border Collies can do. The doc says I’ll do fine and that the pool is good for me. So I’ll just take it easy while I’m still growing, and I hope I grow out of it. It sure hurts when it happens! Ouch!

How old is Pippa?
She is 4 years old

How did Pippa become part of your family?
We re-homed her 3 years ago after she was handed into the local kennels as a stray dog.

Does Pippa have any special talents or tricks?
Pippa loves nothing more than running free. She joins me every Saturday morning for our local 5K park run and she also enjoys walks including the Speyside Kiltwalk. I wouldn’t run without her now as she is the perfect running partner!

Terry DeGraw would like you all to meet Roxy and Ruger.  Two inseparable and lovable border collies who are two loyal watchdogs that have amazing personalities.

Roxy and Ruger. Roxy is a female, black & white border collie. Ruger is a male, red & white.

How old are Roxy & Ruger?
Roxy is eight and Ruger is one-and-a-half!

How did they become part of your family?
Roxy was from a breeder. Ruger was through adoption.

Do Roxy & Ruger have any special talents or tricks?
They have a crazy love for one another!

pet?
They are so smart and so keen to their surroundings. Very good watchdogs and amazing personalities.

Do you have any interesting or funny stories to share about your border
collies?
My babies love the woods. They run around five acres like mad!

Our border collies are amazing we wanted a second border collie when our older dog, Golden, passed away so Roxy wouldn’t be alone. Ruger is the perfect fit for her and for us. They love each other and it didn’t take long for them to become completely inseparable.

Bought him from a breeder approximately a month ago.

Does Chief have any special talents or tricks?
Chief is such a playful puppy with the most precious personality! It took only three treats for him to learn how to sit and he is already swimming inthe dam with us.
